So I realize that it has been way to long since I have updated this blog, I am really sorry about that! In my defense part of the reason is because I was trying to build up the amount of pictures that I had, now that I am about to write this, and it is late at night I am beginning to realize how silly this is since I don't have the time to write the captions that I would like to. Keeping in mind how long it has been,
some of the picutres might potentially be repeats by accident :).
So to start out with, I have a really awesome Physics teacher, the first clue to this was the fact that he made the required reading for physics textbook this nice thing below, Physics for dummies.
Next: I have been getting into the habit of making bread every week for the upcoming week. I wanted to learn how to make bread so I have been teaching myself how to. It has been a learning process, as you can see from this picture, this is the week when I put a little to much yeast into the dough. You can see the dough overflowing quite a bit, and it still had to rise one more time in the actual pans. I also learned this week how nice it is not to use a rag over your dough unless you have a lot of oil on your dough, because it will stick to the rag otherwise, I lost quite a bit of dough to that rag that week. The bread making has gotten better as time has gone on, and it continues to improve every week!
Not sure if you can see in the this picture very well, but periodically my apartment will hold pot-luck dinners with friends. This is a picture of our first one this semester, it was pasta themed and turned out great! a lot of people turned up and we all had fun, there was even quite a bit of food left over even though we were not sure there was going to be enough.
As you can see here it was quite a bit of dishes to do after words, but it was all worth it!

This is a picture of showing that it is definitely becoming spring, I'm not sure if you can see but there are a bunch of people sitting out there on the stairs part of the lawn, they are all doing their HW or something like that. The weather here has been going up and down and all over the place.
This semester Mom and Dad have helped me a lot with food, to have a nice lunches along with some good veggies. This was a random picture that I took to show Mom and Dad that I was most definitely taking advantage of their help, and how grateful I was/am. Yes I know this makes me one of those weird people who takes pictures of my food ;)
Last week my roommate (the tall one standing next to the wall) got her mission call!!! This is the gathering of people that we got together to celebrate with her, She has been called to serve in the Knoxville Tennessee mission!!!! That is where a lot of my family is, I am so excited for her! We all went out to a pizza buffet after that to show our celebration for her :)This is the board that everyone wrote on to guess where she was going, one side was foreign missions and the other half was missions within the USA.
More Spring time photos!
Mothers Day was such a special day to be able to talk with Catherine and all of the rest of the family. I love my family so very much!
The next Sunday (are you lost with dates, because by now I am) It randomly started to hail like crazy!!! Here are a few pictures of the hail that I was able to get a hold of. The hail was about the size of marbles. I also want to thank Mom who stayed up till about 9-11 to help me finish some applications for Medical Scribe jobs for after the semester ends. I am praying really hard and hoping that I can get this job and opportunity! Not sure if you are able to see from the pictures below but there are some more pictures of the hail.
In Biology Lab we are growing bacteria, we are doing what is called the small world initiative, this is a project that is world wide to help fight the problem of growing resistance to antibiotics. Basically since many pharmaceutical companies will not spend the money to do the research to find new antibiotics, they have decided that many biology students can run the initial experiments to find the bacteria that is growing antibiotics, and then if anything new is found they will try to run further experiments (nothing has happened yet for as long as this has happened on this campus but they are still hoping) anyway basically we grow bacteria from dirt collected on campus, and we are seeing if any of them are growing antibiotics. Then apparently if so we will be sending some samples to a lab somewhere to tell us what the bacteria is, if it is an unusual bacteria to be growing antibiotics, then they assume they have found something new, but if it a usual bacteria then they assume it is the same. It has been fun so far, the only not so fun part is all of the writing that we have to do, but hey such is such, with all research comes a lot of writing :)
More Spring Flowers!
There is a pigeon in our complex that has decided to build a nest in the corner of the building, it is clearly laid some eggs and not moving at all. Someone has put a sign up asking people not to touch anything and "let nature run its course" hopefully that all turns out well.
On Friday my cousin Madison brought me to go see a folk band called Molly in the Mineshaft. It is an amazing band! I have decided that I really like folk music.
Then last of all is today my roommates and I put on a surprise birthday party for our other roommate. It went WONDERFUL!!!!

In total it has been quite a fun few weeks. One other thing that happened today is I finally asked a guy on a date! We are planning on going on Tuesday, but I might change it to Wednesday, because I have a ton of Homework on Tuesdays, So I am hoping it turns out well.
Well that is all for now. I hope you are all doing well, I love you so very much!
Love,
Tesia
