Jobs bring hard but fulfilling work

To start the week off it was Ammon's Birthday on Tuesday! He is now 17 years old! It is so crazy to see how time is flying by us all so fast. I made Ammon a chocolate chocolate chocolate cake. It was messy but very yummy. Mom had to leave for a conference Tuesday night so I was trying to rush and finish the cake to be able to give mom a piece before she left. So hence it turned out a bit of a mess, but it was still very yummy. Mom got her piece and said she really liked it. It only took Dad, Ammon and I about a week to finish it all off. It had a "moreish" taste to it (means it makes you want more).
Another Birthday shout out to Catherine Kellar!!! She is currently serving her mission in El Salvador but her Birthday was this past Sunday, and I was thinking about her and hope she had a wonderful Birthday :)

This week I started my Job at a dentists office about 30 mins away. It is in Troy Ohio and I am officially the Scanner/Receptionist. Which means I fill in for the receptionist when I need to and then I scan things in the rest of the time. I am an errand girl basically. But it all works out great :) I am grateful to have this job. I am currently on a trial basis and a week from Wednesday find out if I did well enough to keep the Job. Hope I am!

Later this week on Saturday my cooking creativeness took a hold of me and I made a huge lunch for Dad, Ammon and I. We had some left over spaghetti sauce, and Squash, so I made Spaghetti Casserole, which ended up taking up two casserole pans. I may have added a lot of things to it and also used a lot of noodles. Needless to say we will have a lot of food for the coming week. Here are some pictures of the food I made. I also found the potatoes in the closet and made potato wedges. They turned out very yummy, we ate all of them that day. OH, I also made Ice cream out of canned milk, Turns out I did not put enough salt on the ice, because it took near 6 hours for it to freeze enough for use to eat it. But in the end it was still very yummy.

Dad and Ammon have also been working very hard in the breaker room installing an R.O filter. Here are some pictures of them hard at work. For any one who doesn't know, Dad recently got a second R.O filter and has been working on making it work correctly. It is still having some leaking issues, but it is slowly coming together.

Last thing to report about this week is the rain that we have been getting. It is crazy how much rain we have had! We are grateful for it all though, it is much needed rain. Sadly it has also prevented us from getting much of the work done outside that we have been hoping to get done.
Ammon starts school today, we are hopeful for this year! Life is going good, and I am happy. I hope you are all doing well. Much Love,

Jobs, Fires, and Dates

This week consisted of Lots of work, and looking for Jobs. Ammon and I Burned a lot of the stick pile, only to have it built back up again by Mr. Wagner. We will have to get back on top of that again. During these fire burnings we had many opportunities to cook dinner in the fires, we had tin foil dinner, a dinner cooked in the cast iron pot. and a few more, they were very fun to have and good food as well! This is a picture of my favorite parts of fires, the glowing embers remind me of fireworks, and if they could ever make fireworks like this, these would be my favorite.

During this week Ammon and I worked a lot on the Gardens, Our biggest Job was going to be weeding and mulching some of the Gardens, but one of the Hostas had a huge ant hill in the middle of it so we wanted to dig it up. after talking to Mom and Dad we decided to not only dig up that one Hosta but all of them, split them, sell many of them and plant some of them around the trees in the side yard. It has turned into a long week project. we have gotten 3 Hostas dug up so far, posted on Craigslist for the ones we planted in pots, and are currently waiting for a reply on them. We have 2 trees that now have Hostas around them, and the third has the holes dug that we will hopefully fill in soon. Here are some pictures of the Hostas we replanted/potted.

Another thing that I have been working on this week is getting a Job. I applied to many places before I came home, and have recently after a long time of waiting for them to call me back gotten a Job at a dentists office as an extra person to help where they need me to help. I will be starting this week and the next two weeks will be a trial two weeks to see how I do. I am really nervous I will make a fool of myself, but I am really hoping this works out.
I also have a second Job interview this week, I am hoping to be able to have this job as well and we will see how it goes.
I have also been on two dates this week. One was with a guy named Taylor, we went walking around a park, and talked then went out to dinner, the other was with Tony. Ammon was going on a date on Friday and wanted me to drive him and his date/and double. So I asked Tony to come with me so that it would not be to awkward. We had a fun time, went to five guys and went bowling afterwards.
The other thing that happened is I went to the Singles ward Munch-N-Mingle. They had a lot of good food, and I got to meet some fun people. I am sort of expecting another guy to text me sometime soon since he asked for my number.
We will see how it goes.
Well thats all for this week everyone!
Lots of love!
Catherine I hope you get better soon!
Love,
Tesia

3 or is it 4 weeks.

Semesters End.
The begging of the ending of the semester happened with the Fourth of July. Now apparently I took way to many photos so I will not include all hundred some odd, But I will try to include a few.
To start off the parade on the Fourth went really well, it was long, but Good. Lots of Candy throwing, and advertising. We started off with the flags, not sure what the other flags were, but I think they had something to do with some military branch.
There seemed to be an unlimited supply of schools in the parade, surprisingly this was the only marching band though. They were pretty good. They were fun to see.

Next there were ton of old cars like this one, I am not going to show all of the pictures that I took because there are just to many. There was this group that had tractors like Grandpas big old white one that they had supped up to have big mufflers on them and they were extremely loud, how they safely had their kids ride with them without blowing out their eardrums.

Next my favorite part are the rodeo horses and their riders. I am always impressed by the two riders who rider with each foot on a different horse.
Then a ton of pictures were not added but mostly just random things in the parade. Towards the end of the parade this guy started walking around and my roommate wanted to get a picture with him. I was supposed to send this to her a while ago... woops.

That night I had a nice dinner with some other girls living in my apartment, they made food and I made dessert. This turned out quite well, though still not a pretty as the first cake I ever made of this type. I'm still trying to figure out what I did wrong... Oh well, one of these times I will get it right.
We also watched 1776 while eating dinner, I bought it on Amazon. They had never seen this before, and they seemed to enjoy them.
So that was the Fourth of July. Then the end of the semester officially begins. On the last day of my Physics lab, one of the guys in my group brought us all a bunch of treats as a goodbye treat. LOTS OF GOODIES :D

Later my ward had a closing social combined with another ward in our stake.

This is a baby that the second counselor and his wife just had a few  months ago. She is super cute!

Later Chick-fa-la had their cow day, which was if you dress up as a cow (meaning just wear black and white, depending on the restaurant you go to) you will get a free appetizer. So I wore my black and white dress, said moo, and got a free Salad!.

My ward's closing social, we had a talent show of sorts, each FHE group created their own presentations. My Group wrote our own song. It was very funny. Again lots of pictures, mostly not included because you can't really see most of them anyway.
Dessert consisted of Chocolate Milk and ice cream, called a brown cow. It was surprisingly yummy!
Then came move out day. This is all my life packed up in boxes, then add three more suitcases that I brought home with me. Funny thing is I put all of my stuff on the lawn and the sprinklers turned on about 5 mins later, so I hopefully saved all of my things soon enough! I won't really find out till next time I go out to Rexburg an unpack everything.  It is now all in storage.
I then took a 2.5 - 3 day trip on the Greyhound bus home. It was uneventful, I mean the usual things on buses, impatient people, rude people, nice people, tired people, people covering all spectrum  of people and emotions.
Once I got home it was straight to work. I got to ride Dad's new mower! It is quite hard to use, but fun at the same time.
One of the things that Ammon and I are working on is getting all the big pile of sticks burned. One night I decided to have some fun with my camera, The lighting seemed to be just perfect because we got some amazing pictures.

We also decided to do tinfoil dinners, we didn't have any potatoes so we used frozen hash browns, it worked out really well!!! I threw a bunch of spices in them and they turned out really well.

As well Dad has started up his project of smiley faces again.

Ammon hard at work.

On Friday We all left for the Youth Conference in Kirtland. Mom and Dad ended up renting a van because ours decided to quit working (the AC) and it turns out it is old enough they don't sell the parts anymore so we needed to give it to someone who could make the parts. Anyway here are some pictures from the Trip.

Once we got to our first stop we had a nice home packed lunch. Mom and Dad sure do know how to pack a good lunch.
Ammon, Brock and another Boy got to sing A Poor Way Faring Man of Grief at the Kirtland Temple, they have been practicing for a long time and this is them practicing again before we headed to the temple.

A wonderful Fireside was given at the Temple about the times that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ, whether in appearance or in vision, either way doesn't matter to much, just the fact that he saw them

Sunday I went to the Singles Branch. I met some people, and got asked out on a date, well that happened today over FB, but he is from the Singles Branch and asked me out. We will see where that goes, it really all depends on my work schedule and his. Mom and Dad made a very nice lunch/dinner here are more of Dad's nice smileys...

Mom is working hard to keep her plants alive and producing :)

Well that is all for these last few weeks. I know it is mostly pictures and not so many words, but I hope the pictures tell you a lot. I have really enjoyed this past semester and I hope to be able to continue doing good. I am currently waiting to hear from a job as to whether I got it or not. We will see.  The good news is that I did get accepted to be an online tutor, technically It means I am a personal contractor through this company that gives me clients.

Well thats all the updates. Hope you are all doing well.
