Before I start my own blog posts and about what I have been up to I would like to share with you some things that Ammon and Dad have been up to recently. As you probably already know Ammon has been really getting into fixing bikes. He has discovered a type of store that is a goodwill for bikes, in this place they get bikes, fix them, then sell them. Ammon has been going to this bike store a few times now and has been helping/volunteering to help fix up bikes. Here are some pictures of the bike store/what he has been doing. This is what Ammon told me/sent me about the particular bike that you see in these pictures;
"These are pictures from the bike Goodwill that I have been volunteering at this is what they called a frankenbike and when one of the more experienced men came to look at it was horrified saying that this was a mashup of certain bike parks that were not meant to go together and it was impressive that it even was somewhat functional"

At the bike shop Ammon and Dad learned about this stand for a wheel to make it so you can "true" the wheel, and tighten the spokes without having to take the wheel on and off the bike. It is a special stand for just the wheel. Only issue is the rack can be anywhere from $40 - a few hundred, depending on how fancy you want it to be (read how much technology you want included with it). So Dad being the amazing man he is, kept looking for something better/cheaper that they could get. Eventually Dad found a set of instructions to build their own. So they went and got some items and built their own wheel rack. It turned into an erector set looking thing. I think it looks really awesome and it is cool that they were able to make it work
Now onto my weeks and what I have been doing.
Two weeks of pictures, so two weeks of memories and fun things to happen :D Get ready for all of the awesomeness!!! To start out with, two Sundays ago. After church my roommates and I have an apartment dinner (we are allowed to invite others over if they want to come) So for dinner that night we made Navajo Tacos. I provided the fried dough. It turned out really well, except for the first one; the first one of anything fried tends to not be the best one for me. I learned from this experience that fried dough is no good if it is spread to thin, It needs to be fairly thick.

In more terms It has been getting really warm, to the point that the tulips are starting to sprout here on campus! This is a lot earlier in the season then usually happens, but it is making for a pretty scene. None of the trees have sprouted yet, but I assume it will happen soon. The day after I took this picture it decided to snow for another week or so, and drop back down to the teens. It is back up to low forties today, but tomorrow it is supposed to get low again.
While I was shopping for food a few weeks ago I ran across the dairy free ice cream, as you can see from the picture it is way to expensive and I did not get it, but It gave me a lovely memory of when Dad and Ammon found some on sale and got me 2 containers of it. It is very yummy Ice cream :D
Last week some time out apartment complex had a grocery Bingo. I went with my roommate and a girl from the apartment next door. This was a normal bingo game, anyone who got bingo got to pick one of the grocery items as a prize. I won twice, once with help (the girl next to me gave me her bingo, she just offered it to me. She is really nice that way) and then the second time by myself. They also had 2 black out versions, the first two people to get a blackout on their board got a bag of groceries that made up a meal.
These are the two prizes that I won :D
Then last Friday my ward did an international potluck dinner activity. In this one anyone could bring food from any nationality that they wanted to. It was really yummy. Afterward we played a tiny bit of lifesize hungry hungry hippo. This game did not last to long because most people had gone home by the time that started as well it was rather hard to have long hair and lay down on a board that is meant to roll you really fast towards the balloons and then away. All in all a Yummy and Fun night.
Now onto last weekend. We had our stake conference. Saturday night session was very inspiring and lots of good messages, about temple work and the importance of it. There was also information about missionary work. I really enjoyed the talks.
After stake conference on Saturday last week I went and did Yoga for the first time on campus. It went surprisingly well. I only fell over a few times and luckily never into the guy next to me. Yoga is a very popular class on campus to go to for fitness, and the room it is in is way to small for the amount of people who come, so the guy next to me was VERY lucky I didn't fall on him. I mostly fell on my roommate who went with me, or more like she caught me a few times before I toppled over completely. This was only a few poses, So I did a lot better than I was afraid I would do. I hope that I will have the time to go again.
The next day (Sunday) after stake conference my ward had another ward social/pot luck. This time it was Bishops semesterly breakfast cereal social. This is where he goes to Winco and gets lots of milk and really good cereal, and we all eat cereal for the social. It is fun and good. I get to know more people and socialize while eating yummy food I don't tend to get for myself.
And now onto this past week. On Monday it was the birthday of one of the girls next door. We all planned a surprise birthday party for her. It was fun and lots of people came.

Here is a picture of a chocolate fountain they attempted to do. It is not a bad picture, but either the fountain did not get hot enough, or the chocolate just did not want to get melted, because as you can see it turned into more of a fountain of chocolate glop. Still very yummy chocolate glop, just not as flowy as people usually expect it to be. It was rather funny to see :)
Here is the Birthday Girl!
Next up on the list is this semester is almost over, we have officially passed the halfway mark this past week (I can't believe it, where has the time gone!!!!) Anyway that means it was time to sign up for classes next semester. So On Friday (Yes my Birthday) I was in line to sign up for classes, luckily with a little bit of rearranging I was able to get into all of the classes that I needed to and wanted to get into. Here is my class schedule for next semester. I am also still waiting to hear back about a receptionist job at the student health center. If I do get it, then I will probably drop one of my classes (read swimming class) so that I am able to still have the time I need to study and get good grades :)

This week was a hectic one, So I did not get any pictures really taken. But on Friday I had my birthday! I did not really do anything special (I went out to eat at the school cafeteria - some really good food). But on this day I also had a test, lots of homework, and a lab I needed to do so I was not really planning on doing to much, I was going to do it on Saturday or some other day when it fit better. Anyway that night when I came home my roommates and a few other people surprised me with some cookies, and they all gave me a group hug and sang Happy Birthday to me. Mom, Dad, and Ammon also all called me and sang Happy Birthday to me. Then when I went into my room I found that my roommate had decorated my bed and my wall for me. I am so grateful for all of the things that everyone has done for me to make it such a wonderful birthday :D

On Saturday I went up to campus to finish the last of my homework that I had. On my way back to the apartment I passed through the library. These are some clothes that one of the designing classes made. They post them every semester at midterms and finals. I always enjoy looking at them. The one with a blue jacket that is cut on the bottom reminded me of Catherine's cloak she made once based on a book she read (I think Myst?)

This one is my favorite dress. It is a lot of steam punk looking things on it. I think it is really cute.
Then Saturday night apparently my roommates with a lot of other people were planning a surprise party for me. My roommate and her friend that is not really a boy friend but seems like it, anyway they made me a really really yummy chocolate cake with a strawberry icing, and then we had pizza. After the food a few of us went to the rock wall and we went rock climbing for a few hours. SO MUCH FUN!!!
After rock climbing we came home and found the girls of the apartment next to us outside, they called us over and we saw a live beautiful yet stinky Chicken walking and clucking around everywhere. Apparently while we were gone, they were all sitting in their apartment with the door open because it was to hot so they were letting air in. While they were sitting there, a girl in a hoodie walked up to their apartment and threw the chicken in and ran away. The chicken had a note attached to it for a boy (we assume) that none of us know, and is not in the ward directory anywhere.
They tried calling animal control but it was closed by that time, so they called the police. When the police got there we were all having a fun time talking and making sure the chicken did not try to run away. The police officer was really funny and making jokes with us as well about how he was unsure how to call this over the radio and things like that. In the end he took a report on the girl as much as they new, and told us that he could not take the chicken. So it is currently outside with a basket over it, with bread and water. I think the girls are going to try to find someone on the Rexburg FB page to see if anyone wants it, or we will ask our Bishop.
This is quite an experience! The pictures are hard to see, but it really is a beautiful chicken.
That is all for these two weeks. I hope you are all doing well and staying strong. Today I am teaching a Sunday school lesson once again. It will be on the First Vision. What a special lesson, We all got such a wonderful blessing to be born in this time with the restored gospel on the earth so that we know what God wants us to do and what he expects of us.
I love you all so very much!
Love,
Tesia
This is a new video that the church released yesterday on the First Vision. Hope you all enjoy it!
